Co-Executive Director - The Art House

I graduated in 2013, and ever since, I’ve been passionate about bringing high-quality arts and cultural experiences to communities. In 2024, I became Co-Director of The Art House in Wakefield, a visual arts organisation with two exhibition spaces offering a year round programme of exhibitions that champion underrepresented voices. We also host a thriving artist studio complex with over 40 artists working on site, alongside three specialist maker spaces: a ceramics studio, a photography darkroom, and a print studio.

In 2025, we were proud to receive the Association for Cultural Enterprises award for Sustainability and have also secured over £100,000 of funding to deliver new arts projects in collaboration with our brilliant network of practitioners and local communities.

I look back on my time at university with real fondness. The course taught me to be collaborative, flexible and adaptable to different briefs and clients. It not only nurtured my creativity but also gave me the ambition and confidence to build the networks and connections that have shaped my career.
