Molly Craggs

TV Art Director, Freelance

I'm working freelance as a Standby Art Director for scripted television, working on shows such as Dodge's Pup School, Waterloo Road and Coronation Street. This means I focus on continuity of props and set dressing, oversee the props on the filming floor & ensuring the set looks as the designer envisioned it throughout the filming period. More recently, I’ve worked as an Art Director for unscripted television, for The Great British Sewing Bee and Big Brother. I'm now on my second series of Art Directing for Sewing Bee and it is an absolute joy to work on a show so focused on creativity and making. An absolute highlight was making purposely silly props for, and in collaboration with, Sara Pascoe, including a cardboard wearable jumper & a golf ball that split in half to reveal a clock!

During my time on the course I had a passion for design for film and television, initially inspired by a collaborative film module, I began to focus my own projects and modules to reflect this. The course allowed me to develop a broad skill set appropriate for joining the industry, with constant feedback from the tutors and learning opportunities from guest lecturers and technicians.
