INSTALLATION
Whether in a gallery, public space, festival, or pop-up venue, installations blur the lines between art, design, and experience, making the audience an active part of the work. Installations can be playful, provocative, sensory, or spectacular — transforming spaces into environments that tell stories, spark emotion, or shift perspectives.

What Our Students think
“The course allowed me a great opportunity to explore a much wider variety of performance and live events during the three years. I was given the freedom to choose where I wanted to focus my skills, especially in my final year, so I could tailor my learning experience to suit my interests and ambitions best. There was a good mix of individual design work and realised, collaborative projects, such as the paper installation in first year, meaning I graduated with a good breadth of work in portfolio.
At the end of my final year, I won a placement at the Birmingham Rep Theatre in the Scenic Construction Workshop, which lead to paid employment in both the Workshop and Props Department there, as well as the beginning of building my professional network with other companies too.”
